About the Ingredients
The Habanero thrives in warm climates with slightly acidic soil. It produces a consistent yield with less capsaicin concentration when watered daily. Overly wet soil can result in bitter peppers. Although a perennial, it dies each winter in temperate climates but can thrive year-round in tropical regions.
The Yamaciai Red offers a distinct fruity flavor, adding depth to sauces, widely used in Caribbean cuisine.
Jalapenos provide a gentle kick without overwhelming the palate, making them a staple in Mexican, Thai, and Spanish cuisines.
Origin of the Name
Named after the famed Kabai meteorite discovered by a local farmer on April 15, 1857. This meteorite is preserved in the Reformed College of Debrecen. Witnessed by Gábor Szilágyi, the meteorite was unearthed with community help. Despite initial assumptions of little value, it was donated to the college for study, contributing to its historical significance.
The Kabai meteorite is a stone type, often rapidly degrading due to Earth's external forces. Unlike iron meteorites, which can be detected, stone meteorites require visual identification. The Kabai meteorite contains carbon and chondrules, offering valuable insights into our solar system's origins, dating back 4.5 billion years. Various global institutions, including the British Museum, hold pieces for research.
