Dry Force Chili Spices
In our online store, Dry Force spices hold a unique category. Just like our chili sauces and other products, we strive to give these powders the attention they deserve. The classic paprika-textured powders include world-record strength chili powders and popular, particularly spicy ground varieties. In addition, we offer whole dried packages of certain peppers as novelties.
With ground chilies, you can spice up dishes or create marinades just like with traditional paprika, but the result will be much more exciting.
What Can You Use Dry Force Spices For?
Dry Force spices refer to fruits preserved through drying, which are then either left whole or processed. The latter can result in chili flakes or finely ground powdered peppers. Their storage and use are similar to non-spicy paprika. Why should you consider adding at least one jar of these specialties to your pantry? Because you can essentially add them to anything you wish to give a special flavor.
When cooking, you can replace or complement traditional paprika. The amount you use is entirely up to you. It's worth researching the intensity each type of powder offers to avoid accidentally adding more heat to your dish than intended. You can use them as a base for dry rubs or mix them into sour cream or mayonnaise for a spicy dip. Chili sauces are also great for dipping or as a sauce for roasted meats.
Levels of Spiciness
We differentiate between five types of traditional paprikas, with variations in spiciness among local varieties, adding diversity to culinary creations. However, we don't make our Dry Force spices from Hungarian pepper varieties. We cultivate and grow several chili types on our land, which we harvest, sort, and process by hand. Chilis not only differ from local varieties due to their higher capsaicin content.
Aside from spiciness levels, each type has a unique aroma. Often, the heat doesn't just explode but builds gradually. Experienced chili consumers can recognize the fruity, citrusy, or smoky character of the pepper before its full effect kicks in. Our offerings include products that far exceed the levels traditional Hungarian hot peppers can achieve.
Whole Dried Chilis
In our online store's Dry Force spices section, only two types of whole dried chilis are available. One is the current record-holder, the Carolina Reaper, and the other is a former champion, the Ghost Chili. Whole dried fruits can be roasted, rehydrated in broth or tomato puree, and used in various dishes. Both types boast over a million SHU, so if you wish to reduce their intensity, remove the seeds and veins before using.
After rehydration, the pepper almost regains its fresh appearance. Its flavor also changes slightly, becoming deeper and smokier. After dehydrating it, you can puree it and even roast it to enhance its naturally smoky character. You can use them to spice up stews, goulash, fish soup, or any dish that requires a stew base.
