We are immensely proud that in 2015, our Spirit of Attila chili sauce became a world champion at the World Hot Sauce Awards in America. It was the first time a Hungarian product entered this global competition, and it successfully claimed the first place.

We plant, nurture, harvest, process, cook, press, and season it, using technology that preserves the unique characteristics of the peppers. Made using secret, unique recipes, its value lies in this meticulous preparation.

About the Ingredients:
The heat of the base chili peppers is measured on the Scoville (SHU) scale. Under the right conditions, both Dorset Naga and Ghost Chili can reach up to or exceed 1,000,000 SHU. These intensely hot chilies require careful and respectful handling.

This was the first Hungarian product to compete in the world's best chili sauce contest, securing first place right away.

Our Spirit of Attila chili sauce became a world champion at the prestigious The World Hot Sauce Awards held in Louisiana, USA, which showcases the strongest sauces from around the globe. The American competition featured 109 manufacturers from 14 countries, with 284 products across 49 categories. Spirit of Attila took the top honor in the Hot sauce/Hot category, one of only three categories featuring stronger products. The sauce is made from two types of peppers, both previously Guinness record holders for their strength. Although not our strongest product, Spirit of Attila is a favorite among both Hungarian and international customers. Stronger sauces fall into the X-Hot category. "In the Ultra Hot group, European products rarely compete, as EU regulations restrict the additives allowed in food. Capsaicin is used in these cases, but within the EU, it must be added naturally. Outside the EU, synthetic capsaicin is also permitted, enabling these products to compete in the strongest category.

The largest category had the most participants. Historically, Americans have always won.

Unleashing the Spirit

The category we entered had nearly thirty participants, historically dominated by Americans. This year, three non-American countries placed, but we were the only ones to win a category, making us very happy and proud.
